Project Title “Preparation of Detailed design and tender documentation for construction works and supervision for the new railway section Kriva Palanka-Border with Republic of Bulgaria as part of Corridor VIII.”
Main Objectives of the Project The overall objective of this project is improvement of the rail infrastructure along the trans-European transport network, by establishing an operational continuity of railway corridor VIII, Albania (Port of Durres) – Macedonia (Kumanovo – Beljakovce – Kriva Palanka – state border) – Bulgaria (Port of Burgas), in order to meet the required EU standards.

Task 2: Update existing ESIA.

Task 3: Prepare Procurement Strategy and Preliminary Design Report.

Task 4: Prepare Main Designs for permanent way, Preliminary and Main Designs for several civil engineering structures, stations and electrification for Section 3.

Main Objectives of the Project This project will improve the railway infrastructure; will establish operational continuity of the rail Pan-European Corridor VIII thus will increase the socio-economic development of the region of Southeast Europe, by improving the connectivity of the transportation infrastructure.
Project Outputs/Activities Preparation of project documentation for future construction of the new railway section Kicevo-Border with Republic of Albania as part of Pan European Corridor VIII with a length of about 62.6 km.
